I am getting married on Hanalei Bay, Kauai, on the beach. I love both colors and hubby’s shirt will be the color (or mostly) of my sash. This is an informal wedding for the most part, but I had to have my dream dress.
My fiancee will look good in and has agreed to wear either color….
I think teal would be pretty against the sea. When i think of anything about Hawaii, I think of that color! Go with it and good luck!
UPDATE: Okay, I totally thought about this this morning while i was getting ready…don’t know why….but anyways. Go with coral colors in your boquets or flower decorations and have a teal sash!! You can’t really go with "teal flowers" …not many options. Now you can have the best of both colors. I’m a wedding photographer and I beleive this would be absolutely beautiful in pictures!!!!!
I am getting married in Florida next year and I wanted to know if anyone knows of any websites that offer great package deals that include airfare, hotel stay..etc
Disney does. You can book on their website at Disney.com or call them directly at 407-W-Disney. Good luck!!
I’ve heard alot about getting only a permit and getting married on various beaches in california, what does that mean? you pay the county or city and then you just get that section of the beach?? anything would be helpful, thank you!
It means the state parks commission charges a fee for the privilege of holding your private ceremony on a public beach.
Some cities also require a permit from the parks department for large parties – traffic control, etc.
For instance in Carlsbad, if you select one of a few certain sites they will allow you to essentially rope off that area and set up chairs, etc.
I want to have a destination wedding in jamaica but I am undecided on what resort to choose. I’m only inviting no more than ten people to joy our wedding. Since I don’t get to vacation much or spend a lot of money in a week, I want to make sure I choice the best place to enjoy my wedding. If you been to jamaica how was your experience.
coral cove resort in little bay jamaica. i’m getting married there in march, 2009. i’ve been researching this for a long time, and my fiance and i decided on this b/c it’s intimate, small, and off the beaten path. if you don’t like loud resorts that have weddings every hour (sandals), look into this place! there are only 12 or 13 rooms, so it’s perfect for your guests. we’re only bringing our parents and siblings (9 guests).
it’s an all-inclusive resort, so all meals, drink, and alcohol is included. so you don’t have to worry about bringing lots of cash. our wedding, which includes photography, flowers, reception, massages, mani/pedi, videographer, decorations, ceremony, minister, band, all meals & drinks, and 4 nights in the honeymoon suite is around $4,000.
if you’re interested, read the reviews on trip advisor. there are lots of people that have gotten married there, and wrote wonderful things about it. also, if you email the resort, the respond very quickly. the staff is really helpful.
congrats!
I’ve seen many videos of them at Islamic weddings (especially Pakistan). What is the reason for the dancing horses?
There is no significance as such. Its just a tradition for the groom to arrive at the wedding reception on a horse in India or Pakistan. Its mostly as a form of enjoyment or to make a wedding more fancy.
Apparently they have weddings on the island.
There are a number of ephemeral sand cays off Cairns but I don’t know of any that have official names.
This site has details of fly in and sail in weddings on a sand cay:- http://www.reefretreat.com.au/weddings.htm
Do a Google Advanced search (all words) on sand cay wedding cairns and you’ll find heaps of such sites.
Hi
In this blog you will to see many pictures of beach weddings.
Some people are saying that destination weddings are rude. Why? This would be my second marriage. I am in my late forties. I am hoping that people would enjoy being together in a tropical place and it will be a lot more fun than at home. PLUS of course I don’t want to pay the hefty cost of a wedding again either. I AM giving people a choice of coming or not. How is that rude?
Not rude at all. Nobody wants to go to a wedding so terribly that they will picket your home if you don’t have it in town.
