Cruise weddings?

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone has gotten married on a cruise? How much did it cost, and what cruise line did you get married on. Did you like it? I called Canival, and the only thing they told me was packages start from $750. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks.
We are going on a cruise for our honeymoon. From what I can tell it looks like it is the cost of the cruise plus a few hundred dollars for the ceremony. Look at www.honeymooncruiseshopper.com this should give you the information you are looking for. I suggest that you try to cruise through princess. The ships are very comfortable and all rooms are nice. Some of the cruise lines are uncomfortable and some of the halls you can barely walk down they are so small. Good luck!

My fiancee and I have spend the last few days together deciding on many parts of our wedding next summer and i wanted to see what you guys thought!
We are getting married on Lake Como, Italy at this place: http://www.italianlakeswedding.com/blog/lake-como-weddings/the-diamond-of-tremezzo-opens-its-doors%e2%80%a6/#more-711 we are having one of the outdoor ceremonys by the lake with a small classical band to play some soothing music through out the ceremony. We are both going to spend 3 days by the lake before the actual day to make sure everything goes right and doing spa things to make sure we look amazing, lol. We will be seperate though with him with his party at one hotel and me and my party at another. Then on the night of the wedding we are going to a third seperate hotel where we will stay the night together away from all the wedding guest before we fly out the next day for our honeymoon which will be in the Maldives. My boyfriend and I are planning a wedding but I want something different. I love the idea of destination weddings. I refuse to travel to Mexico so my first choice is Florida. Any ideas?
I used to live near gulf shores and it was CHEAP. I rented a beach house for $800 a month, right on perdido key. it rocked and the beach is NOT crowded with idiots like pensacola beach. you can probably rent a few condos for your family to stay in for a few hundred bucks and then get married on the beach by an officiant cheap. a friend of mine had a great buffet reception at new world landing.
I remember when I was younger, I thought weddings were utterly boring and usually lame.
That has changed! Partly because the wedding industry has come so far and also because I am truly in love with my fiance!!
Now I want a big day of celebration and lush, beautiful elements, I have become addicted to wedding planning.

Omg, I am alot like you in that sense! While everyone else is talking about "this day they’ve been planing since they were 4 with a sheet as a viel in the backyard" I was thinking HUH? That was never me. Weddings were just not my thing, I didn’t love them or hate them they were just there!
But that did change when I got engaged. I absolutley love the planning process all around now and seeing what other people are doing! I am really going to be sad when it’s all over

I’m looking for a more intimate venue for up to 60 people on either North or South Stradbroke.
The closer to the sea the better – or with attractive grounds for photos. Seen some beautiful venues at a couple of hotels, but they seem to be much larger & I think we’d feel a bit overwhelmed by too much space!
A restaurant willing to cater for weddings would be good.
