October 21, 2011 Justin, a brave hero and soldier in the United States Army – National Guard traveled to the Destin area, right before being deployed, for his destination wedding to the love of his life, the beautiful Mandi! They were married on the beaches of South Walton in Santa Rosa Beach. Their wedding was designed by Xquisite Wedding and reception was held aboard the Solaris of Sunquest Cruises out of Baytowne Marina in the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Cake by Lolos Cakes and Sweets out of Crestview, hair by La Renaissance in Destin, Florida.

I am looking at having my wedding in an exotic location in a out of the box atmospher. We are thinking the dominican Republic , but we have know idea where to begin. Is there a vacation that will tour our party around and do fun stuff instead of sitting at a resort? The resort thing would get old with us after two days.

obviously it’s the couple’s special day, so they should do it as they see fit. the idea of a destination wedding sounds fun, and it’s a kind of vacation for everyone. at the same time, is asking people to buy a plane ticket, pay for accommodations, etc. just too much?
in your opinion, how much is too much for an average cost for a guest attending a DW?
BQ: barring your real present situation, if you were planning a destination wedding, where would it be?
I think people who have destination weddings understand certain people may not be able to make it. I know many that have a destination wedding and then a celebration party at home after where everyone can attend.
If I were to do it I would do it in the mountains.
